Your kitchen is one of the hardest working rooms in your home and there are plenty of studies and surveys to support the notion that we love to work hard on making our kitchens look as fabulous as the food we cook in them.
The remodeling resurgence is no joke. Remodeling Magazine predicts the number of remodeling projects worth $1,000 and above nationwide will rise 5 percent this year to $12.55 million, while the value of those projects will climb 6.5% to $194.2 billion. It’s estimated to go up another 2.7% in 2019.
While contractors can be turn-key, the numbers also support that we are taking on tasks ourselves. Especially design updates that pack a dramatic punch – like cabinet refacing and hardware replacements. According to the National Kitchen and Bath Association, 29 percent of the money in a kitchen remodel goes to cabinetry and hardware.
